Jasmine Essential Oil

I have returned from attending the doTERRA Convention in Salt Lake City last week. I learned a lot about the science behind and research of essential oils. There are many exciting things happening in the company and also many new oils were introduced. One of my favorites is Jasmine. Jasmine has very delicate petals and it takes 21,000 petals to produce a 5ml bottle of this amazingly great smelling oil. DoTERRA has made it affordable by putting it into a roller bottle called Jasmine Touch, meaning that it is combined with Fractionated Coconut Oil. It can be applied directly to pulse points for a calming, yet euphoric aroma that uplifts mood and promotes a positive outlook. I think this is what I like best about it. It is also renowned for its skin benefits, helping to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and promotes a healthy-looking, glowing complexion. Regarded as the "King of Flowers", Jasmine is prized for its fragrant aroma, making the Jasmine Touch ideal to use as a personal fragrance throughout the day.

Favorite Uses:
Known for its warm and floral fragrance, Jasmine also provides a myriad of benefits both aromatically and topically. Here are some of our favorite uses:

  • Apply on your wrists and neck as a personal fragrance.  Jasmine’s aroma is intensely floral, warm, musky, and exotic—the perfect scent for a fun perfume. (Not to mention its scent is also uplifting!)

  • Jasmine is known to reduce the appearance of skin imperfections and promote healthy-looking, radiant skin. Because of its convenient application in a roll-on bottle and its combination with Fractionated Coconut Oil, you can apply Jasmine Touch directly on skin imperfections in the morning and night.  Not only will it help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections but it will also leave your skin with a beautiful glowing complexion.

  • Because Jasmine has such an uplifting scent, using Jasmine Touch on our pulse points is the perfect way to uplift mood. Emotionally, Jasmine promotes feelings of joy, peace, and self-confidence. Applying Jasmine in the morning will help provide a positive outlook on the day and leave you feeling uplifted and confident.
Fun Facts:
  • Jasmine is one of the most precious essential oils because extracting it is extremely labor-intensive.  The extraction process must be done at daybreak when the flowers are most fragrant and have the highest percentage of aromatic components intact.

  • Due to the large amount of flowers needed to produce a small amount of oil, Jasmine is highly sought after in both the perfume industry and in aromatherapy.
If you would like to learn more about the new oils that are available for purchase on October 2, 2017, please come to the "Convention Reveal" class, where you will learn about and be able to experience the beauty of these new oils. It will be held in San Ramon on September 23rd from 2-3pm. Although this is a free class, you must register to attend. Email me at kristin.osowski@gmail.com.  Feel free to bring a guest. Once you are registered, the location of the event will be provided.
