New Year, New You

January is all about new beginnings. We start the New Year off with the best intentions. Many of us make New Year’s resolutions that we are “absolutely going to adhere to this year”, but by the end of January, we have already fallen back into same old patterns. Studies have shown that only 8% of people actually keep their New Year’s resolutions. Weight loss has been recognized as one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions, along with staying fit and being healthy. A study done by CBS Philadelphia spells out the warning signs that your health goals are at risk using the acronym CLIFF:
                                                                                                           C – Can’t find the time.
L – Lack a game plan to keep you going.
I –  Ignore your commitment and fall into old patterns.
F – Frustrated with lack of early results.
F – Forget why you started
If you need to lose weight or just want to feel better overall, then I encourage you to get serious. Don’t fall off the CLIFF. Make a strong commitment to take care of yourself in 2018. Join me, Kristin Osowski, for a 4-week program to better health. The objective of this program is to replace the Standard American Diet (SAD) of refined foods and beverages with whole foods. There will be a lecture on a different health topic each week, along with yummy tastings of foods so that you can learn exciting ways to incorporate whole foods into your diet and experience how delicious healthy food can be.
